Stanhope is located in north central Iowa in Hamilton County on Iowa Highway 17, 13 miles south of Webster City. This community of 450 people is home to a locker renowned for its meat processing and antique shops. Stanhope has everything you need if you love small town living. It is less than thirty minutes from Ames, home of Iowa State University. Stanhope also has a small campground located just off mainstreet. Stanhope Locker
As also seen in the business section of this site, the Stanhope Locker is another must-visit of Stanhope. The locker processes beef, pork, lamb, and deer and sells retail meats as well. One of the best reasons for visiting the locker is for buying it's award winning Beef Jerky and Dried Beef. You can do this Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to Noon.
